Data Engineering Intern
Job Description
We are excited to announce an opening for a Data Engineering Intern in the External Manufacturing Production (EMP) department. This team supports the Global External Manufacturing (GEMS) organization. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong affinity for data and a proven track record in delivering analytics and data solutions within the supply chain domain.
As a Data Engineering Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting our globally dispersed EMP organizations. We operate using the SCRUM methodology, working on a variety of projects and contributing across a wide range of skillset’s.
Your role may involve creating a Python package from an advanced analytics model developed by our data scientist, or creating SQL stored procedures to transform data sourced from various origins. If you have the capability, you might also create or modify dashboards using Plotly/Dash.

As a Data Engineering Intern, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Learning how to operate within a large organization
- Adapting to the SCRUM methodology
- Developing Python applications or SQL queries and stored procedures
- Performing experiments in new domains
- Collaborating with Intel engineers to help them achieve their quarterly key results

Qualifications
The candidate must be a university student in Data Analytics/Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Mathematics, with some experience in:
- Python or other object-oriented languages
- Software development
- SQL or database experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Plotly/Dash
- Experience with SCRUM or other agile software development methodologies
