As a UI/UX engineer, your job responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to understand user requirements and design goals.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, adhering to design mockups and wireframes.
- Implement and maintain consistent UI design patterns and best practices across the application based on SLDS.
- Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, user experience experts and performance engineers;
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and apply them to all design and development activities.
- Stay updated with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies, including those related to accessibility (A11y).
- Integrate accessibility features into UI components to ensure compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 to 9 years of professional software development experience
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and web components (Javascript, ReactJS, and LWC)
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS, SASS, Flex-box and Design Systems (SLDS or Bootstrap).
- Proven understanding of web application development
- Proven experience in Styling Mobile & Web interfaces.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
